Hello My Name Is...

Marybeth Culbreth

My name is Marybeth Culbreth.  I have been teaching for over 20 years and this is my 3rd year at McConnell.  I have my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Samford University.  I have taught in Texas, Georgia, Virginia, Alabama, and Tennessee.  I have taught grades 2-8 and was a Middle School principal in Virginia.  

My favorite part of teaching is watching my students' excitement as they realize how much they are learning in class!  It gives me great satisfaction to see them apply their new knowledge to different aspects of life!  

I live in Hixson with my husband, Dennis.  We have three grown children.  Our two sons are married and they each have a 3-year-old son.  Our daughter is a kindergarten teacher in Birmingham, Al, and she is getting married in November of this year!  Life is fun and exciting around my house as we prepare for another great school year and a wedding!  :)
