Hello My Name Is...
Julie Spino
Welcome to Ms. Spino's class!
This year is going to be full of fun, learning, and adventures. I am passionate about hands-on science experiments, and I cannot wait for you to be part of our classroom family. However, before the year starts, I thought you might want to know a little about me.
I graduated from Soddy Daisy High School in 2004, and then I headed to Knoxville to attend the University of Tennessee. I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nutrition in 2008, and then I completed a Master’s in Education at the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga. I am currently pursuing my Ph. D. in Learning and Leadership at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
This will be my tenth year teaching, and my third year teaching at McConnell. I absolutely love teaching fifth grade, and it is my mission to instill a love of learning in my students! I hope my students develop into young leaders who desire to become life-long learners.
I am the mother of two sons, Jay and Hatcher. In my free time, I enjoy swimming, biking, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding. I love to read and go to the movies! I also love to bake and eat anything sweet!
