Kendall Thornton
My name is Kendall Thornton. This is my 12th year teaching Visual Art and my second year teaching at McConnell. I earned my Bachelors Degree from Reinhart University in Mass Communications, with an Minor in Art in 2004. In 2008 I received my Masters in Fine Art and Art Education from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
I love teaching students an appreciation for the Arts. It is my goal to provide the students that I teach with engaging lessons that foster creativity and build confidence. It is such a joy to see students express themselves through their artwork. I aspire to provide a safe and exciting work environment for my students.
I live in Chattanooga with my husband Peter and my 4 year old daughter, Cosette. I love creating my own artwork in my free time and traveling. It is such a joy to have a career where I can share my passion with the students I teach.
